Digital Inclusion Project for Visually Impaired

An application to the CyMAL Innovation and Development Grant scheme for funding for a digital inclusion pilot project has been successful and Blaenau Gwent Libraries have been awarded just over £3000 to run the pilot to run until April 2013.

The Get Blaenau Gwent Online Campaign will be launched on 25th February 2013 at Tredegar Library.The campaign brings together digital inclusion activities throughout the borough under one banner through the development of the Get Blaenau Gwent Online website, the Digital Inclusion Strategic Partnership (DISP), operational group and a digital inclusion initiative.

Get Blaenau Gwent Online Initiative Approved

The Get Blaenau Gwent Online initiative funded by Communities 2.0 has been approved and will for the first time create a focus for digital inclusion in Blaenau Gwent.The project will offer support to people throughout the borough giving them opportunities and the skills to enjoy the benefits that digital technologies offer.
