Electoral registration system is changing

Voting

To vote in an election your name has to be on an electoral register. The electoral register is a list of all names and addresses of everyone over 18 years of age living in Blaenau Gwent.

Before this year the head of a household would include every person in a household on one form. Now the law has changed, and you have to register yourself, one form per person. To put your name on the register you also now have to give your date of birth and national insurance number.

You will now have received a letter from us saying if you are on the electoral register, if you have this letter you don’t have to do anything or if you have a letter saying you have to re-register we can help you with this.
