Please find information attached regards to an exciting new project we are working on in partnership with an organisation called Unltd.
The project is aimed at giving young people the skills and confidence to be young social entrepreneurs through practical experience of the delivery of either one off projects or a series of projects or activities. They have to be aged between 16-21 and have an idea that they think would be of community or social benefit.
We have funding to support 2 types of awards
Try it awards - up to £500 which is all about giving young people the opportunity to learn through experience
Do It awards - up to £2,500 which is all about investing in people and ideas that can make a real social change
There is no reason why one person could not apply for both !!
In the first instance all they need to do is get in touch with us if they think they may have an idea and want to make a difference to people in their community and tell us why. We will then work with them to explore their idea further an work up into a possible project. We hope to make at least 10 awards by the end of March with the projects then taking place through April – June.
We have also put a You-Tube clip together to give some more information on the project ( Have a look see what you think)
Those who have ideas that stand out will be invited to a Pizza, Pastries and Paper work event on Feb 28th to explore their ideas further with their peers and to submit their final application.
